- Dekora is not liable for vendor stock changes, shipping delays, or product defects, subject to the limitations outlined below.
- The Design Credits program is subject to the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
How Dekora Design Credits Work
We’re giving you free Dekora Design Credits to use toward furnishing your home. Here’s the simple version:
- Claim your Credits within 7 days by completing our Intake Form.
- Use them within 90 days on an eligible design project that includes furniture, delivery, and installation from our approved vendors.
- To activate your Credits and start working with a designer, there is a fully refundable CAD $250 Activation Deposit.
- If you proceed, the $250 is credited toward your project invoice.
- If no eligible project is authorized within 14 days of paying the deposit, your file will be closed and the deposit refunded in full.
- Credits cannot be transferred, converted into cash, or combined with other offers unless expressly authorized by Dekora.
- Limit of one active Credit per household.
Full Terms & Conditions
1. General
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use and redemption of Dekora Design Credits (“Credits”), issued by Dekora Inc. (“Dekora”), headquartered in Alberta, Canada. By claiming or using Credits, Clients agree to these Terms in full.
2. Eligibility
- Credits are available to individual homeowners in Dekora’s database, including past clients.
- Realtors, builders, designers, and developers may redeem Credits for their own projects but may not transfer them to third parties or clients.
- Limit of one (1) active Credit per household.
- Dekora reserves the right to decline projects outside of Calgary or Kelowna if operationally unfeasible.
3. Credit Amounts
- Dekora may issue varying amounts of Credits, including CAD $500, $1,000, $2,000, or other amounts, as part of promotional campaigns.
- The applicable amount will be specified in the Client’s official offer notice.
- All Credits are subject to these Terms regardless of the amount issued.
4. Claiming & Expiry
- Clients must submit Dekora’s official Intake Form within seven (7) days of receiving an offer to claim their Credits. Failure to do so renders the offer void.
- Upon successful claim, Credits remain valid for ninety (90) days from the official issue date shown on the confirmation email or gift card.
- Expired Credits have no value and will not be reinstated, extended, or replaced.
- Dekora may issue new promotional Credits in future campaigns, which are separate from and not extensions of expired Credits.
5. Deposit & Activation
- A CAD $250 refundable Activation Deposit is required before Credits may be applied to any project.
- The deposit secures design team resources and is credited toward the Client’s project invoice if they proceed.
- If no eligible project is authorized within fourteen (14) days of paying the deposit, Dekora will close the file and refund the deposit in full.
- Dekora may waive or adjust the deposit requirement at its discretion for certain promotions.
6. Project Requirements
- Credits may only be applied to design projects that include Dekora’s design services, procurement, delivery, and installation.
- Projects must involve products sourced from Dekora’s approved vendor list, which may include Dekora clearance stock.
- The total project value, before Credits are applied, must be at least two times (2x) the value of the Credits issued.
- Credits are not valid for home staging services.
- Credits are not valid for moving services.
- Credits are not valid for renovation or construction services.
- Credits are not valid for gift cards or cash equivalents.
- Credits are not valid for any other Dekora services not expressly covered by these Terms.
7. Exclusions & Limitations
- Credits cannot be combined with or applied alongside any other discounts, offers, or promotions unless expressly authorized in writing by Dekora.
- Credits have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash, store credit, or gift cards.
- Credits are non-transferable and may not be sold, traded, or gifted.
8. Vendor & Delivery Responsibility
- Dekora does not manufacture products purchased through its vendor network and makes no warranties regarding product quality.
- Product availability, stock status, and discontinuations are determined by vendors and are outside Dekora’s control.
- Dekora is not responsible for product defects, though it may assist in troubleshooting with vendors.
- Dekora is not liable for delivery or installation delays caused by factors outside its control, including supply chain disruptions, customs clearance, shipping delays, weather events, strikes, or vendor schedules.
9. Privacy & Data Use
- To claim and activate Credits, Clients must complete Dekora’s Intake Form and provide personal information, which may include contact details, household information, photos, and measurements.
- Data is collected solely for administering the Credits program, delivering services, and communicating about related projects or marketing offers.
- Clients may withdraw consent or opt out of marketing at any time by following unsubscribe instructions.
- All personal information will be handled in accordance with Dekora’s Privacy Policy, available at dekora.com/privacy.
10. Right to Refuse or Cancel
Dekora reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to:
- Decline or cancel any Credits issued in error, misused, or claimed in violation of these Terms.
- Refuse redemption where a project does not meet Dekora’s operational, profitability, or vendor requirements.
- Cancel Credits if more than one claim is made per household, or if Credits are resold, transferred, or misused.
- Modify, suspend, or terminate the Design Credits program at any time without notice.
In such cases, Dekora’s maximum liability shall be limited to refunding any Activation Deposit paid by the Client.
11. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dekora’s liability for any claim related to Credits shall not exceed either (a) the value of the Credits issued, or (b) the amount actually paid by the Client to Dekora in connection with the project, whichever is less.
- Dekora shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Alberta courts, and Clients consent to such jurisdiction.
